இலங்கையில் இருந்து மேலும் ஒரு தொகுதி தமிழர்கள் அகதிகளாக தமிழகத்தில் 06-05-2023 தஞ்சம் அடைந்துள்ளனர்.
தனுஷ்கோடி அடுத்த இரண்டாம் மணல் தீடையில் மூன்று குடும்பங்களை சேர்ந்த ஒரு கைக்குழந்தையுடன் 10 பேர் தஞ்சம் அடைந்தனர்.
இந்த நிலையில் அவர்களை மரைன் போலீசார் மீட்டு மண்டபம் காவல் நிலையத்திற்கு கொண்டு சென்று பின்னர் அகதிகள் மறுவாழ்வு முகாமில் ஒப்படைக்க நடவடிக்கை மேற் கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.
